While cruising to the Shark grounds Capt. John stopped 10 miles out for a banner catch of Bonito. Then off to catch two Hammerheads, and a drive by Mako.

On Sun Aug 3 Matt and his crew from Bethleham PA. caught over 60 Bonito, two Hammerhead Sharks and released a Mako Shark.

June 7th and 8th we took our first Shark Charters. Robert and his crew from Woodstown NJ and Art and his family and friends from Pine Brook NJ caught nine Sharks, two of which were large Makos. The Shark Season is starting off red hot.

Aug 13….. Fluke fishing replaced a scheduled Shark trip because of 25 knot winds today.
Ken and his family from Lakeville, Minnesota had scheduled an offshore Shark charter but mother nature canceled that with 25 knot West to N/W winds. We went Fluke fishing up close to the beach. All had a good time catching flatfish.

July 31,2013. Mako and Dusky Sharks were caught on a “Blue Chip Shark Special”! ($1100)
The Blue Chip left the dock at 6 am and by 8:30 am we were chumming and drifting, in a light north west breeze. Ideal conditions for Shark Fishing. Bill and his friends from Philadelphia caught Mako and Dusky Sharks. Trigger Fish and Mahi were swimming all around the Boat, but we had no takers.

July 17 2013, Sea Bass and Fluke in 95 degree heat.
The fish were certainly not worked up into a feeding frenzy today because of the Heat, but we put a catch together, and every one had a couple of Fluke and Sea bass meals to take home.
The Blue Chip has been very busy and we have fallen behind on our fishing reports. So here is some catch up..
Inshore bottom fishing had a few slow days in the beginning of July, but we managed to put together a catch by moving around and not giving up. At the present time Sea Bass, Fluke, Black Fish, Cod, etc are being caught with constancy on every charter.
Shark fishing has been good through out the spring. Our last five “Shark Fishing Special” trips ($1100) accounted for 26 Sharks. The high trip was nine Sharks and the low was one Shark. Some Tuna and Mahi are being caught and we are waiting for inshore Tuna and Dolphin to show in numbers.
Our “Half Day Specials” have been very successful, with a lot of happy Kids Fishermen and Women, with many delicious fish dinners.
